Net zero means removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere at the same rate as they are emitted, or simply eliminating emissions altogether<ref>[https://www.ipcc.ch/sr15/chapter/glossary/ IPCC Glossary]</ref>. This could be achieved through carbon dioxide being removed or ‘captured’ from the atmosphere by forests, soil and the ocean, and through (not yet fully developed) carbon-capture technologies.</div>FuzzyBot
